Art in Farming

“We have neglected the truth that a good farmer is a craftsman of the highest order, a kind of artist.”

-Wendell Berry

This year, we are slowly incorporating workshops into our farm operation. Weaving art & food, a part of us all, together.

Pairing a tour of our farm with a lesson in a craft, ending with a fresh meal prepared with food we grow, & sending you home with some farm treats.

watercolor painting

Molly Reeder will teach a wet on dry technique of watercolor (no experience necessary!), pulling inspiration from the farm plants and produce that we pick out as our subjects/muses. There will be a particular focus on ritual and mindfulness around the creative process, so that we can enjoy the meditative act of painting while also noticing new beauty in our plant friends. All of this is held in an open invitation to play and explore!
